BE IN OPEN FORUM 2019

A new initiative of the 2019 Forum is a trade fair. The trade fair will bring together leaders of the Russian fashion industry: from technology companies to textile vendors and production and promotion agencies. The fair will include a Showroom event organized in an updated format as a platform for meetings and negotiations between local and international buyers and top 100 Russian brands.

Russian national fashion film festival

Launched in June 2018, the first film festival was hosted by 11 Russian cities and Paris. The screenings in the Russian regions were organized through a network of local fashion industry activists. The festival is aimed at introducing of talented Russian designers and artists to active fashion consumers.

The next BE IN OPEN film festival will take place in 01 June 2019 in 30 cities across Russia and Europe. The program will include fiction and documentary short films, video art and campaigns dedicated to visual codes of a modern day Russia.

The festival invites Russian brands, film directors and local promoters to cooperation.

Digital magazine

Texts on Fashion is a quarterly journal covering insights, discussions and concepts relevant for the fashion industry. The project is a multidisciplinary endeavor developed at the intersection of philosophy, esthetics and business administration.

Each issue contains articles, interviews and video-instructions related to the fashion product production process. The theme of the first issue is the modern visual culture. The authors reflect on producers, characters, and consumers of the visual culture in Russia, as well as the socio-cultural context that sets the observed trends.

In addition to open-access content, the journal offers subscription-based tutorials prepared by leading practicing professionals.
